PURPOSE: A cocoon feeder in which the space between the lower end of the cylinder for taking out an end-caught cocoon in the storing basin and the bottom of the storing basin is blocked with a device so as to prevent other end-caught cocoons from coming into the gap between the bottom of the cylinder and the bottom of the storing tank, when the cylinder is pulled up for reeling.

CONSTITUTION: The cylinder 12 for picking up only one end-caught cocoon correctly from the storing basin 5 and feeding it to the reeling basin is provided with the blade 25 rotatably around pin 26 for preventing cocoons from flowing in. The blade 25 is at a standstill horizontally, when the cylinder 12 stays at the lower part, howerver, it inclines downward by its self-weight, when the cylinder 12 goes up and blocks the space between the lower end of the cylinder 12 and the partition bottom blade 23, thus preventing cocoons from flowing in.
