Title:
CODE EXCITED LINEAR PREDICTION ENCODER AND DECODER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3328080
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a reproduced speech signal of high quality with an encoded speech signal of a low encoding speed by providing a pulse code book and a gain code book as code books in addition to a general adaptive code book and a noise code book, and selectively using the noise code book and pulse code book.
CONSTITUTION: An optimum adaptive excitation vector ea is outputted from the adaptive code book 105, a fixed excitation vector selection switch 113 is switched to the selected noise code book 106 or pulse code book 107, and an optimum fixed excitation vector es or ep is outputted as the selected fixed code book. After one gain from the gain code book 108 reflects frame power P, a gain bk for the adaptive excitation vector is supplied to a multiplier 110 and a gain gk for the fixed excitation vector is supplied to a multiplier 111. Thus, the gain-controlled optimum adaptive excitation vector and the gain- controlled optimum fixed excitation vector after frequency characteristic operation are added together by an adder 112 and supplied as an excitation vector (e) to a multiplexing filter 103.
