Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coding/decoding device with a simple configuration where pluralities of code processing section is operated with a small memory capacity.
SOLUTION: A 1st code processing section 9 and a 2nd code processing section 10 connect respectively with a coding data memory 7 via a data bus in a system bus 15 and with an image data memory 8 via an image data bus 16 respectively in common. Selectors 12, 13 select either of the 1st code processing section 9 and the 2nd code processing section 10 depending on a selection signal from a selection signal generating section 14 under the control of a code processing section selection control means 1a and connect the selected processing section to a DMA controller 11 so as to activate either the 1st code processing section 9 or the 2nd code processing section 10.
