PURPOSE: To decrease delay from input of voice till sending of data by starting transmission of parameter information immediately after the extraction of a parameter and sending coded voice information in succession thereto.
CONSTITUTION: A parameter extraction section 6 extracts a parameter from a voice signal inputted to a signal buffer 4(3), inputs it to a coding section 5 and writes it in a data buffer 9(8). A data sending section 7 starts data transmission by means of direct memory access (DMA) to the data buffer 9(8) immediately after the parameter information is written in the data buffer 9(8). Then a coding section 5 uses a parameter inputted from the parameter extraction section 6 to apply coding processing of a voice signal of the signal buffer 4(3) to write the coded voice information in the data buffer 9(8) in succession to the parameter information. Thus, the transmission of parameter information is started immediately after the extraction of parameter and the coded voice information is sent succeedingly in this way, then the delay from the input of signal till the sending of data is reduced.
