To provide a control device of cogeneration system capable of performing a precise normal/abnormality determination regardless of the fluctuation of a power source load such as user load.
This control device 2 for cogeneration system supplies the output power of an engine generator 11 or fuel cell to a user load such as home electric appliance 4, and controls a surplus power recovering load part 12 including a plurality of loads, when surplus power is generated in the output power of the engine generator or fuel cell, to recover the surplus power as heat. This control device comprises CT input circuits 22 and 23 for detecting a lead-in line current carried in a lead-in line for leading in the power of a commercial power source and a computer 21 for loading the value of the lead-in line current detected by the CT input circuits and controlling the whole body. The computer determines the abnormality of the surplus power recovering load part by the change in value of the lead-in line current in ON/OFF of each load of the surplus power recovering load part.
