This coil device for a linear motorcar has six superconducting coils 3, which are mounted on the truck of a linear motor car with a prescribed pitch and form N-poles and S-poles sequentially, ground coils which serve as propulsive, levitating and guide coils, as well and mounted on the sidewall of a guideway so as to have three ground coils which correspond to the adjacent N-pole and S-pole of the superconducting coils 3 and a quadruple feeder circuit 20 which is connected to the ground coils 10.
