Abstract:
PURPOSE:To manufacture coil springs of a complex form automatically and with ease by controlling an electromagnetic clutch, an electromagnetic brake and an exciting coil for an air cylinder in accordance with a program stored beforehand in a memory. CONSTITUTION:When the device is started after a program inputted from a keyboard is stored beforehand in a memory, a pulse motor 18 makes rotations in a given number of pulse, which, through the rotation of gears 19 and 20, are transmitted to a feed roller 35 via an electromagnetic clutch 33. By this a wire 34 is fed with precision, for instance, of 0.1mm level. Then, by actuating an air cylinder 50 in accordance with the instruction from a computer, the 1st processing is given to the fore leg by bending tools 49 and 49A. And the rotation of the motor 18 is transmitted to a core metal 41 through gears 36, 37 and others and the 2nd processing is given to the wire which has reached the said position as well. Thereafter the wire 34 is wound on a winding axis 40 at fixed times.
