PURPOSE: To hold accurately a coiled spring without any disengagement by inserting a hollow elastic tubular holder into the coiled spring and fixing with compressing one member against an opposed inner surface.

CONSTITUTION: A holder 20 is composed of a holding tubular body 21 for holding a coiled spring 6 with a frictional force, an auxiliary support 23 for supporting the holding tubular body 21 and a mounting bolt 26. The mounting bolt 26 mounts the holding tubular body 21 through the auxiliary support 23 on the lower surface 1a of an upper die 1. The holding tubular body 21 is inserted into the coiled spring 6 so that the auxiliary support 23 is compressed between the inner surface 1a and an engagingly locking portion 25 to hold the coiled spring 6. Thus, the coiled spring can be accurately held without any disengagement.
