To provide a coin conveying device which suppresses coin jamming and recovers from the coin jamming by taking a jamming coin out in such a case.
The coin conveying device 1 reversely rotates a motor 7 if a coin 20 is jammed between a belt 2 and a roller 4. Consequently, a force for taking the coin 20 jammed between the belt 2 and roller 4 out to a lateral conveyance path side operates thereupon. Guides 5 provided on both the flanks of the roller 4 stop the coin 20 from introducing into between a belt 3 and the roller 4. The coin conveying device 1 takes the coin 20 jammed between the belt 2 and roller 4 out and restarts conveying the coin 20 forward. Consequently, the stopping time of a device body due to the coin jamming is shortened to improve the operation rate of the device body.
