Abstract:
To make it possible to detect a coin highly accurately from a wide detection range.SOLUTION: In a coin processing unit 11 of a register change machine 1, a small coil 42 is arranged inside a large coil 41 in a coin detection unit 34 of a coin slot unit 22 such that an electric current is supplied to both coils alternately. Accordingly, the coin detection unit 34 can form respective magnetic fields alternately by the large coin 41 and the small coin 42 without cancelling the magnetic fields each other, and sufficient magnetic output can be obtained from an outer peripheral side and a center side of a coin storage container 31 respectively. As a result, the coin detection unit 34 can detect coins remaining in various portions inside the coin storage container 31 highly accurately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
