Abstract:
To properly discharge foreign matters mixed in a collection space.SOLUTION: An upper separation unit 15 includes: a collection cover 41 provided on the normal direction side of a disk surface 43S of an inclined disk 43 and forming a coin collection space 48 for collecting coins between the disk surface 43S and itself; and a foreign matter removal gate 80 that is provided on the normal direction side of the disk surface 43S in the inclined disk 43, forms at least a portion of the bottom of the coin accumulation space 48, and is proximate to a discharge surface 92S so that the coins are not discharged from the coin collection space 48 to the outside when the gate is closed. The foreign matter removal gate 80 can move to a half-open state in which at least a portion of the coin collection space 48 is exposed to the outside by forming a gap SP1 between it and the discharge surface 92S so that foreign matters smaller than coins are discharged out of the coin collection space 48 while the coins are not discharged out of the coin collection space 48.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
