Abstract:
To provide a coin processor capable of detecting a transport failure that causes an excess or shortage of coins to be dispensed from a withdrawal port of the coin processor.SOLUTION: A coin processor includes a detection unit 35 that detects coins to be withdrawn from a withdrawal port in the front of the withdrawal plot. The coins actually withdrawn are detected by the detection unit 35, and a control circuit obtains the denomination and the number of the coins withdrawn. The control circuit compares the denomination and the number of the coins to be withdrawn with the denomination and the number of the coins actually withdrawn, calculates a difference in the denomination and the number of the coins, and determines whether or not a transport failure has occurred based on the results.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
