Abstract:
To improve the accuracy of detecting the presence or absence of coins remaining in a collection space.SOLUTION: An upper separator 15 includes: an accumulation and separation unit 15A that accumulates coins and separates and unloads the coins one by one; and a separation and transportation unit 15B that transports the coins unloaded from the accumulation and separation unit 15A. The accumulation and separation unit 15A includes: an inclined disk 43 that is rotatably supported with a central axis 43C of a disk surface 43S as the rotation center and rotates in a predetermined rotation direction; an accumulation cover 41 that forms a coin accumulation space 48 with the disk surface 43S to accumulate the coins; an around-the-hole notch 74 that is a part of an outer periphery 43T of the disk surface 43S cut out toward the central axis 43C; and an outer light passage hole 72o that is provided inside the around-the-hole notch 74, penetrates the inclined disk 43, and allows the detection light of a coin residual detection sensor 70 as a sensor to detect whether or not coins remain in the coin accumulation space 48 to pass through.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
