Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processing apparatus capable of directly dispensing an inserted counterfeit coin upon operation of a return lever after insertion of the coin, and of being rapidly operated for dispensing coins and for storing them. SOLUTION: Coins judged as normal coins by a coin sorting part 5 are sent to first and second coin discrimination sorting parts 11 and 13 and a particular coin sorting part 12, so that a particular discrimination of coins are retained in a temporary retaining unit 21 while coins of discriminations different from a particular discrimination are stored in change storage cylinders 15 to 17. Upon operation of the return lever with the particular discrimination of coins being retained in the temporary retaining unit 21, the coins stored in the temporary retaining unit 21 are conveyed downward and paid back.
