Abstract:
The invention provides a coin processing device which allows acceptance of coins except coins of extracted face values and fully ensures the processing opportunity of the coins. The coin processing device comprises a recognition unit for recognizing the authenticity and the face values of coins passing through a recognition channel; a gate part for leading the coins which are recognized as real coins to a coin sorting portion and leading the coins which are recognized as counterfeit coins to a counterfeit channel; an input sensor for detecting the passing of the coins between the recognition channel and the coin sorting portion; and a control mechanism for sending a coin acceptance notice to an automatic vending machine control portion in the condition that the recognition of the recognition unit is passed and the coin is detected by the input sensor, determining that the coin is the extracted coin and performing reception forbidding operation in the condition that the recognition of the recognition unit is not performed and the coin is detected by the input sensor, and allowing the acceptance of the coins of other face values, wherein reception forbidding operation merely forbids the operation of acceptance of the coins of the face values included in the sent coin acceptance notice by the coin sorting portion for a specified time.
