To provide a coin selector advantageous to smoothen the operation of a coin blocker and advantageous to restrain complicating of structure by avoiding adopting a turning movement system but adopting the coin blocker of a straight advancing movement system so as to improve foreign matter resistance.
The coin blocker 4 for the coin selector is switched to a falling mode for falling coins to be returned among coins flowing down a flow-down path 16 from a coin fall-down port 23. The blocker 4 is provided with a straight moving member 41 provided in the state of being capable of moving straight to a base part 1, a straight movement guiding member 45 for guiding the member 41 in the state of being capable of moving straight and a driving part 6 for moving the member 45 straight along the member 45. The part 6 is formed of an electromagnetic device 60 functioning as an actuator and a driving spring member 62 for energizing a straight moving bush 42 in a direction for moving away from a flow-down path opening/closing lid 14.
