PURPOSE: To sufficiently deal with the intention of a user to utilize the washing machine by arbitrarily selecting the process of washing, rinsing or dehydrating independently for the user and controlling the operation of each process by inserting coins corresponding to each process.

CONSTITUTION: Concerning the coin type washing machine to be operated by inserting coins, a motor 11 drives a washing and dehydrating vessel and a stirring fan arranged inside this washing and dehydrating vessel so as to be freely rotated, and the respective processes of washing, rinsing and dehydrating can be set by an input setting means 15. When the insertion of coins is detected by a coin insertion detecting means 3 and the operation is started, a control means 16 controls the electrification for the respective processes of washing, rinsing and dehydrating arbitrarily set by the input setting means 15.
