To provide a structure of an extraction electrode and a structure near a cathode capable of securing distance accuracy between the cathode and the extraction electrode without reducing display quality even in a cold cathode display device with high definition, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.
The extraction electrode 6 has the structure so as to be fixed to and supported by a partition 4. In the fixing method, glass frit is applied on the partition 4 by using printing or a dispenser and then the extraction electrode 6 is disposed on the partition 4. The extraction electrode 6 provided with electron passing holes is further provided with holes for glass frit. By burning the glass frit, the extraction electrode 6 is fixed to and supported by the partition 4. In addition, by shaping the holes for glass frit into a funnel, fixing strength is increased.
