Abstract:
To provide a cold forming tap, reduced in tapping torque and preventing generation of heat and welding.
In this cold forming tap, a screw part 2 includes: a tapered lead in part 3 and a parallel screw part 4 connected to the lead in part. The parallel screw part 4 is provided with a cold forming stable part 4a adjacent to the lead in part 3 to stabilize the cold forming, and a guide part 4b in the rear of the cold forming stable part 4a. The guide part 4b is made smaller than the cold forming stable part 4a by screw diameter dimensional difference from 0.03 mm to 0.08 mm both inclusive.
