Abstract:
To provide a cold rolling method enabling steel strips to be continuously cold-rolled without causing rupture in a weld zone between the steel strips.SOLUTION: A cold rolling method is provided, including a cold rolling step of performing cold rolling on a weld zone obtained by butting and welding a rear end portion of the preceding steel strip and a distal end portion of a following steep strip, the cold rolling method further includes: a step of calculating a deviation amount in a plate thickness direction caused between the preceding steel strip and the following steel strip which are butted, prior to the cold rolling step ; and a step of calculating a deviation ratio being the ratio of the deviation amount to the plate thickness of a steel strip having larger plate thickness out of the preceding steel strip and the following steel strip. The cold rolling method performs the cold rolling step when the deviation ratio is a prescribed threshold or below, and on the other hand, holds the performing of the cold rolling step when the deviation ratio exceeds the prescribed threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
