PURPOSE: To provide a cold rolling oil contg. a lubricating oil component such as oil or fat and a specified macromolecular emulsifier as essential ingredients, which has excellent stability and lubricating property, etc. and is suitable for cold rolling of steel sheets.
CONSTITUTION: The cold rolling oil contains as essential ingredients (A) an oil component selected from among oil, fat, fatty acid ester and mineral oil and (B) a macromolecular emulsifier selected from among (a) a polyamide obtained by reacting aminodicarboxylic acid, etc. with alkylenediamine, (b) a Menschutkin reaction product of formula I or II [where X is halogen; R is -(CH2)n-; R' and R'' are CH3, C2H5, etc.; R''' is -(CH2)n-, etc.], (c) a polycondensate of alkylenediamine with alkylenebisacrylamide, etc., (d) an addition condensate polyamide obtained by reaction of alkylenediamine with acrylic ester, etc. and dervis. of (a)W(d).
