To provide a new collection cylinder of a folding apparatus of a printing machine.
The collection cylinder of the folding apparatus of the printing machine is a plurality of holding systems which are distributedly provided onto the entire periphery of a cylinder body. The cylinder body is equipped with the holding systems and the holding systems have a plurality of holding devices, and the holding devices are controlled by a control cam and a cover cam. The cylinder body is supported on the frame by the control cam together with the first bearing body, and the cover cam is supported by a second bearing body on co-axis to the first bearing body at the spindle top of the collection cylinder. The difference in the number of revolutions between the cover cam during collecting operation and the collection cylinder triggers to move a plurality of gears and the variable changeable speed transmitting device equipped with a single coupler and switches between the non-collecting operation and the collecting operation, and therefore, the only relative revolutions by the predetermined angles between the cover cam and the collection cylinder are made possible in the decoupled state of the single coupler, and the single coupler can also be revolved by the predetermined angles.
