PURPOSE: To enable the receiving and housing of root vegetables pulled up and discharged with a pickup device in a state thereof capable of efficiently utilizing the inner volume in a load box and the efficient separation and factionation of muddy soil sticking to the received root vegetables and carried therein from the root vegetables and the discharge thereof to the outside of the load box.
CONSTITUTION: This collector for root vegetables is obtained by forming a load box installed in a car body so as to house the root vegetables R..., into a shape, having the opened top side and opening a discharging port 7a provided with an opening and closing door 70 in one of left and right sides, installing an upper conveyor 8 having a conveying surface 8a rotating toward the side of the discharging port 7a in a state of the starting end 8b thereof deflecting to the side of the discharging port 7a of the load box, forming a receiving port W for the root vegetables R... between the starting end 8b thereof and the sidewall 71 on the side opposite to the discharging port 7a of the load box, installing a lower conveyor 9 having a conveying surface 9a intermittently operating toward the discharging port 7a on the floor surface of the load box, arranging the load box so that the terminal end 6a of a pickup device 6 installed on the car body 1 may face to the upper part of the starting end 8b of the upper conveyor 8 and installing the load box on the car body.
