A node coordinate data, an element constitution data, a boundary condition data and a material property data which are necessary to analyze an object model of analysis of a press-formed article made of a metal sheet are read (P11, P12). A basic data for analysis is prepared on the basis of the node coordinate data and the element constitution data (P12). Next, the quantity of state change when press-forming the metal sheet is calculated (P14). Next, the average value of the quantity of state change of a ridge line generated by the press-forming of the metal sheet is calculated (P15). Stress and sheet thickness are determined on the basis of the calculated average value of the quantity of the state change of the ridge line part and the quantity of impact absorbing energy per unit area is calculated (P16).
