To perform color conversion so that, if a variation between an input color and an output color is increased, a tone jump does not occur.
In a look-up table, an output value is registered at each lattice point of a plurality of lattices obtained by dividing the space of a color expression. The output value registered in the lattice point surrounding a converted original color is changed so that the converted original color is converted into a conversion target color. The input color value is converted into an output color by, for instance, an interpolation based on the output value registered in the lattice point surrounding the color value of the look-up table. Here, in the change of the look-up table, the output value registered in the lattice point is changed so that a difference of the output values of the neighboring lattice points is within a predetermined value (S202 to S205).
