Concerning specific colors R, G, B, C, M, Y, YG, BS, SK(HL), SK(MD), and SK(SD) in images represented by image data S0, a degree of modification of lightness, chroma and hue is set. In a Lab color space, a distance of a central color of each specific color and a color constituting the image represented by the image data S0 are calculated, and the degree of modification of lightness, chroma and hue about each specific color is weighted and added up, based on this distance, to obtain correction values on the lightness, chroma and hue. The lightness, chroma and hue of the image represented by the image data S0 are corrected based on this correction value to obtain the processed image data.
