Abstract:

To accurately correct a periodic fluctuation of colors even though a position in a conveyance direction and a fluctuation amount of the colors of an image are not accurately detected.SOLUTION: A color detection device according to an embodiment of the present invention is the color detection device for detecting colors of an image formed on the basis of image data on a recording medium conveyed in a prescribed conveyance direction and comprises: a reference luminance acquisition unit which refers to prescribed period information on the basis of positions in the conveyance direction of a plurality of partial regions having the same color in the image data and acquires a reference luminance value for each of the plurality of partial regions; a selection unit which selects a set of the partial regions whose sum of the reference luminance values satisfy a prescribed condition among the plurality of partial regions; a reading unit which reads the image; and an output unit which outputs color data of the image acquired on the basis of a read luminance value by the reading unit at a position corresponding to the partial region included in the set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
