Abstract:

To provide a color filter ink for ink jet method and a color filter ink set, capable of easily forming a colored part with uniform thickness while suppressing color unevenness or density unevenness in each colored part, and thus being stably and suitably used for manufacturing of a color filter excellent in characteristic uniformity between individuals, a color filter excellent in characteristic uniformity between individuals with suppressed color unevenness or density unevenness in each part, and an image display device and electronic equipment provided with the color filter.

The color filter ink to be used for manufacturing of a color filter by an ink jet method comprises a coloring agent, a liquid medium to which the coloring agent is dissolved and/or dispersed, and a resin material, and has a hydroxyl value of 0.16-0.56 KOHm/g.
