PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized color image forming apparatus capable of rapidly obtaining a color print of high image quality by providing an image exposure means having a plurality of line image exposure heads different in wavelength provided thereto in a revolving transparent cylindrical body and sending a photosensitive material sheet into the cylindrical body so as to bring the same into contact with the cylindrical surface thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A transparent cylindrical body 10 is rotated clockwise by starting image recording and the photosensitive material sheet in a supply part 50 is drawn out one at a time to be fed to the outer peripheral surface of the transparent cylindrical body 10 by a pair of feed rollers 52, 53. The photosensitive material sheet is sent to the cylindrical body 10 so that the photosensitive surface thereof is closely brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 10 and fed while the rear surface thereof is pressed by an endless belt 135. Exposure is performed by line image exposure heads 12Y, 12M, 12C on the way of feed and the photosensitive material sheet on which a latent image is formed by lap-exposure is sent to a developing device 70 by a pair of feed rollers 63, 64 to be finished as a color print to be recovered.
