PURPOSE: To improve color reproducibility by obtaining the 1st chrominance signal in phase for every horizontal scanning and by obtaining the 2nd and 3rd chrominance signals of both side bands of the 1st chrominance signal by inverting the phases for every horizontal scanning.

CONSTITUTION: An image pickup output is supplied to 1H delay line 2. An input to and output from delay line 2, on the other hand, are supplied to adder 3 to remove red signal R and blue signal B phase-inverted by every 1H. The output of adder 3 is supplied to low-pass filter 4, where luminance signal Y is separated. An input to and output from 1H delay line 2 are supplied to subtractor 14 to remove luminance signals Y and green signal G interleaved regarding red signal R and blue signal B phase-inverted by every 1H.
