PURPOSE: To improve the resolution of a reproduced image by using a green or a white filter as a segment at least at each tow lines.

CONSTITUTION: The color filter 3 is formed with plural segments 31, 32 of matrix arrangement. In the 1st segment columns 31, 31...,the segments 31 of an odd nuber row are formed with green filters G transmitting green color, the 2nd, 6th...of an even number row are formed with green filters G the same as the odd number row, and the segments 31 of the remaining 4th, 8th...,are constituted by yellow filters Y transmitting yellow color. On the other hand, in the 2nd segment columns 32, 32..., the segments 32 of an odd number column are formed by green filters G the same as the segments 31, 31..., then the 2nd, 6th...rows of the even number row are formed by cyan filters C transmitting cyan color and the remaining 4th, 8th...rows are constituted with green filters G the same as th odd number row.
