Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a print processing speed by shortening an under color removal processing time.
SOLUTION: An interface section 11 receives print data to which color numeral information is attached in the unit of bands. This color numeral is the number of pixels that results from subtracting the number of white pixels from the total number of pixels in a band. An edit section 12 analyzes and stores received data. An image drawing section 14 compares the color numeral in the unit of bands with a predetermined threshold value. In the case that the color numeral is higher than a threshold value, an under color removal UCR processing section A16 applies the under color removal processing to all the print data. When not, a UCR processing section B17 applies the under color removal processing to the print data from which the white pixels are eliminated. A video output control section 19 reads a video signal from the print data to which the under color removal processing is applied. An engine control section 20 allows a printer engine 21 to print to the video signal.
