PURPOSE: A stable white and gray color for oil painting of high grade with no toxicity containing dispersed titanium oxide pigment having a specific particle diameter in a vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: A color for oil painting obtained by kneading titanium oxide pigment having an average particle diameter of 30W130nm, e.g. rutile or anatase type, with a vehicle, e.g. poppy oil, an assistant and a drying accelerator under stirring. The resultant color will not cause the cracking due to the reaction with the drying oil and discoloration, reduction in tone and chroma by the color mixture.
