To improve the spectral sensitivity and color reproducibility of a color photographic recording material.
This color photographic recording material has at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer on the film substrate or further has a nonphotosensitive layer. Each of the red and green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers contains at least one kind of cyanine dye having an absorption spectrum in a methanol soln. in the range of 515-550nm besides an ordinary sensitizing dye and the absorption max. of the cyanine dye in the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is different from that in the green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer by <10nm, preferably <5nm at the time of measurement in the methanol soln.
