Abstract:
To provide a photothermographic imaging element excellent in bleaching and storage characteristics.
The photothermographic element has a supporting body, at least one photosensitive imaging layer, which is applicable by water-based coating, on the supporting body, and at least one light-absorbing layer which is capable of water-based coating and contains a 1-aminopyridinium filter dye having a methine linkage terminaled by a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic nucleus. The filter dye relates to an effective amount of a melt former (thermal solvent) during bleaching.
