PURPOSE: To easily adjust color balance by integrating a color balance adjustment coefficient, which is calculated based on coordinates inputted by a joy stick, into a color correction matrix.
CONSTITUTION: For coordinate information inputted from a coordinate input means 1 by the joy stick, chromaticity coordinates are calculated by a chromatic ity coordinate calculating means 2. In order to keep brightness constant and to change only the color balance, the values of the chromaticity coordinates are made three times. Thus, when the input from the joy stick is correspondent to achromatic color, the color balance is not changed, calculated to the color correction coefficient, which is calculated in advance, by a color adjustment matrix calculating means 4 and stored in a color adjustment matrix storing means 5. When the color adjustment matrix of the means 5 by a color adjust ment calculating means to execute arithmetic, color picture data, to which the desired color balance adjustment inputted from the joy stick is executed in addition to normal color correction, can be obtained. Thus, the desired color balance adjustment can be easily obtained with the small number of times for a test.
