Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a color printer paper developing no white blank in heat- sensitive transfer operation and capable of clear image printing.
CONSTITUTION: An infiltration-proofing layer 3 consisting of an acrylic emulsion resin or acrylic water-repellent resin is sandwiched between a plain paper like PPC as base material 1 and a receiving layer 2 coated with a solution prepared by dissolving a vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer resin in a butane/toluene mixed solvent. Presence of the layer 3 prevents the solvent in the layer 2 from infiltration into the base material 1, keeping the thickness of the layer 2 uniform, thereby enabling clear image printing on the paper.
