PURPOSE: To obtain a color receiver with built-in a magnetic recording and reproducing device capable of reducing the number of color modulators simplify ing configuration, and reducing cost.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of reproduction, a reproduction carried chrominance signal is demodulated into a reproduction chrominance signal by a color demodulator 11. The reproduction chrominance signal is selected by a switch circuit 21, matrix-transformed by a matrix transforming unit 17, added to an RGB output circuit 18, the chrominance signal and a brightness signal outputted from a brightness signal reproduction processing circuit 19 are transformed into RGB signals by the RBG output circuit 18, and outputted to a color receiver 20. Thus, the number of the color modulators can be reduced, and cost can be reduced.
