Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a small four-color separation prism by providing a prescribed apex angle in order in the light advancing direction, and providing four prisms and an air space to take out a prescribed wave length component.
CONSTITUTION: A first prism 1 is a prism to separate a blue component, and a dielectric multilayer film to apply wave length selectivity is evaporated on the reflecting surface 1b. A second prism 2 is a prism to separate a red component, and the incident surface 2a is arranged so as to separate by a microscopic clearance from the reflecting surface 1b of the blue separation prism 1, and a dielectric multilayer film to apply wave length selectivity is evaporated on the reflecting surface 2b. A third prism 3 is a prism to separate a first green component, and the incident angle 3a is arranged so as to separate by a microsciopic clearance from the reflecting surface 2b of the red separation prism 2. A fourth prism 4 is the last prism, and the incident surface 4a is adhered to the reflecting surface of the first green separation prism. With this constitution, an small and bright optical system to separate a color into four light fluxes can be realized.
