Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enlarge the amount of frequency deflection of a color video signal by frequency-modulating a vide signal without superposing a synchronizing signal on the video signal. CONSTITUTION:The respective chrominance signals R, G, and B that form a color video are supplied respectively to clamp circuits 11 14, where the pedestal-part of each chrominance signal is clamped. Signals R', G', and B', and synchronizing signal SYNC' are frequency-modulated in frequency modulators 15 18 respectively. A synchronizing signal SYNC'' after the modulation is superposed on either one of chrominance signals R'', G'', and B'' after the same modulation. As a result, the amount of frequency deflection can be made larger in comparison with the conventional case, and also the S/N is improved.
