Abstract:
To provide an alumina sintered body that exhibits color tone made visible as clear red and can be produced by general purpose manufacturing equipment.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an alumina sintered body that includes trimanganese tetraoxide (MnO), in which the content of above trimanganese tetraoxide is 0.2 wt.% or more and 1.1 wt.% or less in terms of MnO, the content of magnesium is 100 ppm or less in terms of MgO, and the average crystal grain size is 1.6 μm or more and 11.0 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
