PURPOSE: To obtain colored fine particles having dissolved various problems of conventional colored fine particles, satisfying all of high breaking strength, a high content of a coloring material and excellent chroma characteristics by using inorganic non-pored fine particles such as non-pored silicon dioxide (silicic acid anhydride) as colored fine particles.
CONSTITUTION: These colored fine particles are obtained by coating inorganic non-pored fine particles 1 with an inorganic non-pored material layer 5 in which 1-80wt.% of a coloring material 3 is sealed. An aqueous solution containing an inorganic compound is mixed and dispersed with a surfactant, the coloring material and the inorganic non-pared fine particles 1 to give a mixed solution, which is blended with an organic solvent to give a water-in-oil type emulsion. An aqueous solution containing a compound capable of forming a water-insoluble precipitation product by reaction with the aqueous solution is mixed with the water-in-oil type emulsion and the water-insoluble precipitation product formed by the blending is separated to provide the colored fine particles.
