PURPOSE: To obtain both signals with only one delay line by penetrating to a delay line, separating the delay line output to a luminance component and a color component again and adding to respective signals which are not delayed, after respective luminance signal processing outputs and color signal processing outputs of a video signal which are read from a recording track are added.

CONSTITUTION: A processing output from a luminance signal processing circuit 2 and a color signal processing circuit 3, which demodulate a luminance signal and a color signal of a video signal read from a recording track, is respectively added 14. The output of the adder means 14 is delayed by only one delay means 15 for a prescribed time only. A signal from the delay means 15 is supplied to a luminance signal extracting means 16 and a color signal extracting means 17 respectively, and these outputs and the processing output of the luminance signal and a color signal processing circuit are respectively added 18 and subtracted 19, respective adding output and subtracting output are combined and a video signal for reproduction is obtained.
