Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a combination balance in which an article having high possibility of long stay can be discharged previously from a measuring hopper by discharging an article in a set including a preferential weight selected through preferential combination operation preferentially in place of a set selected through a combination operation.
CONSTITUTION: Articles fed from a distribution feeder 1 to a plurality of linear feeders 3-1,... are further fed, while being oscillated, to feed hoppers 5-1,... then to measuring hoppers 6-1,... where the weight is detected 8. A combination operation or a preferential combination operation is then performed for the weight values in order to determine a measuring hopper from which the articles are discharged. In the combination operation, the weights of articles in respective measuring hoppers are combined variously and a set having a total weight closest to a target weight is selected. In the preferential combination operation, a set having a total weight equal to or closest to a target weight T is selected among combinations of weight including a preferential weight Wr having highest weight difference from a reference weight B. It is then controlled to discharge the articles in latter set preferentially to the former set thus discharging one article of weight Wr prior long stay.
