Abstract:
The present invention provides a composite battery capable of preventing excessive input and output loads on a lithium-ion secondary battery even with a high rate of repeated charging and discharging, and capable of simply controlling the input to and the output from each secondary battery. A composite battery 10 is constituted by a lead storage battery 12 and a lithium-ion secondary battery 14 connected in parallel. The lead storage battery 12 has a first internal resistance ratio which is calculated by dividing an internal resistance value that changes with temperature by an internal resistance value at a reference temperature arbitrarily set within the temperature range from 0°C to 40°C, and the lithium-ion secondary battery 14 has a second internal resistance ratio which is calculated by dividing an internal resistance value that changes with temperature by an internal resistance value at the reference temperature. The second internal resistance ratio is set to a value greater than the first internal resistance ratio within a temperature range that is higher than the reference temperature.
