Title:
COMBUSTIBLE GAS DETECTOR ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS55140140
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a hard-to-break highly-reliable detector element by a method wherein an oxide catalyst is supported at the end of a platinum resistor formed of platinum resistor film coated on the two main surfaces and one end surface of a heat resisting insulation substrate, and the other end of the resistor is pressure- inserted into, or bonded to, a supporting substrate.

CONSTITUTION: Ink made of platinum powder, glass and vehicle is printed on heat resisting insulation substrate 2 of alumina and the like, thin on its one end surface and the neighborhood, thick on the other two surfaces, and after drying it, it is sintered; and platinum resistor 3 with hairpin-like cross section is formed. Glass paste is printed on the thin part of film 3, and by sintering it, insulation film 4 for protecting film 3 is formed. The other end of this platinum resistor 1 is supported by pressure-inserting it into, or bonding it by means of heat resisting adhesive to, epoxy resin substrate 5. Conducting wires 6, 6' are connected to film 3, and the connected parts are reinforced by silicone resin. Alumina paste is coated on insulation film 4. After this is fixed by supplying power to external terminals 7, 7', it is coated with a mixture of chloroplatinic acid and rhodium chloride, and it is heated; and thereby an oxide catalyst is formed. By this, a detector element strong against vibration is obtained.
