Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically extinguish combustion after a fixed time of the combustion in a combustion apparatus provided with a combustion wick which burns by sucking up a liquid fuel utilizing capillary phenomenon.
SOLUTION: In this combustion apparatus, a combustion wick 6 which burns at a combustion part 6A by sucking up a liquid fuel utilizing capillary phenomenon with a sucking part 6B is divided between the combustion part 6A and the sucking part 6B. At least one of divided portions is so arranged to be allowed to approach or separate from the other and when both portions contact each other, a fuel is supplied to the combustion part 6A from the sucking part 6B. With the separation of the both the portions, the supply of the fuel is cut thereby restricting combustion time.
