Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce smoke and NOX simultaneously.
CONSTITUTION: A direct injection diesel engine has a fuel injection valve 6 provided for a cylinder head 5, blow holes formed in the nozzle 7 of the fuel injection valve 6, an outer periphery wall 10 formed at the upper part of a piston 1, a combustion chamber 9 formed inside the outer periphery wall 10 and a flame disturbance member 21 arranged on the inner face of the outer periphery wall 10 so as to be located among mists blown out of the blow holes.
