Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combustion efficiency.SOLUTION: A combustion chamber structure includes a cylinder block 102 in which a cylinder bore 108 is formed, a piston 106 sliding in the cylinder bore 108, and a pent roof type cylinder head 104 in which a ridge line 136 formed in an abutting portion of an intake side tilt surface 132 to which an intake port 112 is opened and an exhaust side tilt surface 134 to which an exhaust port 116 is opened is displaced with respect to a center axis of the cylinder bore 108. A combustion chamber 110 is formed by a space which is surrounded by the cylinder bore 108, a crown surface 140 of the piston 106, and the cylinder head 104, and in the piston 106, a recession 146 displaced in accordance with the displacement of the ridge line 136 to the center axis is formed on the crown surface 140.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
