To provide a combustion device for emulsion fuel with a simple structure capable of solving the problem of a disturbance of pure fuel due to change in hydrolytic rate or the like.
A fuel flow rate sensor 3 is provided in the upstream side of a part with which a return fuel pipeline 8 from a burner nozzle 1 communicates in the upstream side of the fuel injection pump 6 of a main fuel pipeline 7. Further, a mixer 2 which has a function for mixing pure fuel oil with water from a water supply pipeline 10 depending on the flow rate of fuel detected by the fuel flow rate sensor 3 and emulsifying the obtained fuel ad reproducing the emulsion state of return fuel is provided in the downstream side of a part of the main fuel pipeline 7 with which the return fuel pipeline 8 communicates and in the upstream side of the fuel injection pump 6. Further, a flow rate adjusting valve 4 for adjusting the flow rate of the pure fuel oil is provided in the upstream side of the fuel flow rate sensor 3 of the main fuel pipeline 7. A pressure reducing valve 5 is provided in the return fuel pipeline 8 so that the return fuel pipeline 8 is closed when pressure in the downstream side thereof is not lower than a set value, and it is opened when the pressure is lower than a set value.
